Hi Yaniv,
> BTW - what's the status of the article on using eeg for meditation?
Still researching. Found some interesting biofeedback/meditation
sites, list of teachers, direct personal research with certified
biofeedback practitioner. Outline is taking shape.
Once on the market, the devise (code word MIND READER) will be
a "cross over" between the Light&Ssound/entertainment sector and
the healing sector. The "Functional Enhancement" approach
(Valdeane Brown, Les Fehmi) supports the user with training and
guidance. It provides a context to work on specific kinds of
training. They might argue that without a focus, you are standing
there with a fancy tool in your hand, but without a plan to build
anything in particular. But there are a lot of people (many on the
L&S side) who can see beyond mere "functional enhancement" to
permanent conscious awakening.
It is possible that the MIND READER, born on the net, will spawn a
new path of conscious awakening on the net. When users ban
together, as they surely will, notes will be compared, trainings
designed. Some users will be awakened bases on community
consensus of what works. Would such a community draw a lot of
spiritual and psychological attention. No doubt. Maxwell Cade
had a little biofeedback community using his Mind Mirror. Now we
are not so provincial
As I said in my last communication though, without a way to make
and save files, the usefulness of the MIND READER will be greatly
diminished. People will use it to pleasurize themselves, or contort
their consciousness this way or that. With files you can track
patterns, design training and, follow results.
We must not forget that enlightenment is a matter of finding one's
true identity. It is not about getting high or attaining this or that
neurological condition (Cade's brainwave profiles of awakened
mind), but we embarking on a large scale experimant to see if
home based brain "tuning" brings the peace and clarity, and
dispels the obscurities that prevent us from coming into alignment
with our essential nature.
