hardware file "viewer"

After wandering around a bit more I can answer my own
question (RTFM) about a viewer for the hardware project files,
they were built with: Eagle 4.01 from CadSoft.

However, I get "Error while reading ..." messages if
I try to open either the .sch or the .brd file.

Any tips?
