One last item on soundcards then I'll be quiet for a while. Here are
the specs of a lowend Turtle Beach unit ... under $20 on
pricewatch.com. It can do stereo recording and playback
simultaneously. HOWEVER, the PCI interface might take this out of the
realm of novice programmers (like myself) who might otherwise be able
to contribute some sort of software enhancements to the project.
