Hello Group,
It appears viruses are on the increase for spring.
There's a new virus floating around called the "Homepage" virus. The emailwill come from somebody you know, the subject of the email will be
"Homepage", and there will be an attachment named Homepage.HTML.vbs.
If you'd like to know more about this virus, take a look at http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/vbs.vbswg2.x_at_m...
Bottom line, if you receive this email, DO NOT OPEN THE ATTACHMENT. It will send itself out to everybody in your address book.
Curiously (???) I received an email from Jim Peterson, sending me a copy of the document, "Why Cheap EEG?" The one page Word document contains a virus. The virus is not a part of the email itself...it is for sure in the .doc file itself. The short document contains a macro which probably contains the virus. How did it get there???
