Hi all
Well, we now have an official identity. Many thanks to all those who
voted, I think we've come up with the best possible name. Shouldn't
be too long before openeeg.org goes live.
3 issues:
1. Lucas, are you going to register the domain names? How shall we
best pay for it, given that we live in different countries? Maybe
wiring cash direct to Lucas' bank account? I have set up a poll to
see who is willing to chip in for the domain registration & web
hosting. Please vote if you're prepared to help out. That way, we'll
know how much it will cost each of us.
2. Should we rename our yahoo group to openeeg? Is this possible? If
not, should we start a new group with that title? I also think that
eventually (next couple of months or so), we should think about
setting up a discussion forum directly on our website. It would look
more professional and give us more of a group identity. Please let me
know what you think.
3. There has been some debate about whether to start up some kind of
open source software. My proposal is that whatever "basic" software
is provided our system is also called "openeeg". This would keep
things organised and professional. Again, please let me know what you
think.
