Hi,
at the moment I am trying to get a certification for the RS232EEG as a medical
device. Because the Certification (probably with EU-wide validity) will be done in
the laboratory of a nearby University, arranged by a friend who has good connections
with the lab-engineer, the certification would be almost for free.
However there seems to be a great problem: If the device should be certified
as an EEG, the PC and the Software of the system will have to be certified too.
That implies the use of a medical PC that is very expensive and therefore not
acceptable for this project.
It seems to me, that it would perhaps be more easy, if the device were not
designated as an EEG.
Consequently the name of the intended website should not contain the term "EEG"
either.
Until the problems with the certification are not clarified, I recommend to wait
with registering a site-name like "openEEG".
Regards,
Joerg
