No.
The ear clips are for picking up the reference potential and are connected together
and to ch1- and ch2-.
The positive side of the amp-inputs (ch1+, ch2+) is connected to the sites, where
the EEG should be measured (e.g. O1, O2 in the 10/20 system).
The Ground-electrode (for RS232EEG01 or brainmaster)
or the DRL-Electrode(for RS232EEG03analog) must be connected somewhere else.
In my tests I have successfully used the right hand or wirst.
So the minimum count of electrodes for a 1 channel EEG-signal pickup
is 3 electrodes. (earclips tied together and counted as one electrode)
2 channels will need 4 electrodes,
3 channels will need 5 electrodes, etc.
That means the electrode count is :
=Number of channels + 2
