Thanks Lucas and Jim for your thoroughly intelligent posts. I shall
write a proper reply when I have a minute but for now I would like to
address Rob Kall's concern that Lucas' idea is "dishonest".
Firstly, we are not trying to sell something here. We are concerned
with making some very wonderful technology more readily available to
people who want it.
Second, what is "biofeedback"? It is not a machine, it is not
software, it is a process, something you do. Plenty of medical EEG
machines are not used for biofeedback, and the names we've used
("RS232EEG", "cheapEEG" and "openEEG") do not infer that we are
developing a biofeedback device. If we were to refer to our hardware
as an "eeg" with no mention of biofeedback, we would be telling the
TRUTH. "Biofeedback" is not part of the circuitry, just the ability
to measure brain activity. How can this be "dishonest"?
Regards
Eric
