Hi all,

Here is somthing to think of.

sinds many people in the world surf the web it is easy to
reach them. How ?...
You can look for your-self.
If you start looking for a word lets say biofeedback, you
will notice that the browser looks for words.
You will find al lot dealing with BF, but also other sites.
for example a site about depression, alternative medicine,
etc...
So it is important to use in our TEKST, words wich will
automatic bring our web-site under attention of the public.
Some people search for information about, mentall illnes,
mind-control, relaxation, peak-performance, ADD/ADHD, engineerings, yoga, sports..etc....etc...
Sometimes you find a site wich only contains the word
biofeedback, the site itself does have nothing to do with BF. So in our teksts whe must make use off all kind of
words like:
depression, OCD, trauma, sports, peak-preformance.
autosuggestion, mind-control, mind-over matter,
electronics, medical, engineering, ritalin, stroke, neuro-
science, electrode, brain, brainwaves, alpha, theta,
children with ADD, physiology, tremor, etc...
Tekst must be written by good writters...

If i would look for EEG, then perhaps i would find afther
a while buildcheapEEG. On the other hand, if i would
look for depression i could end up visiting a site about
BFB. So browsers will look for KEY-WORDS.
KEY-WORD then can make a surfer visit our site....

regards Frnas.

Subject: [buildcheapeeg] Generalities - FOCUS

Hi all,

The group is doing well , and should keep the focus in testing the
BASIC openEEG (device and software) model ;
after that , all developing segments will be welcome .

Some contacts that are being now are just for getting a more
structured (legal and technically) Institutional support ;
it should :
a) dismiss us from major concerning about liability, and guarantee
rights for "open working on EEG ";
b) help to spread the openEEG idea ( for getting more
collaborators and encourage more nfb researches)
c) give to ourselves a future perspective of consequences of our
present efforts , and their evolution path.
d) reach the world with some positive impact .

Those questions are just Side Goals for now , and should not
shift the presently ongoing tasks .

But it would be good if some theoretical questions that are posted
to the group by the researchers
could be answered ,

Best regards for all ,

Waldemar

Subject: [buildcheapeeg] some conatcts with universities !!!
hi
waldemar , who is doing some great work on getting some organizations
to be in contact with us and to work togheter .

here's a copy of a message he sent me :
.

CONTACT with more than 15 Universities and Foundations related to use
or development of EEG . It was a general agreement between the
interested ones the tests should be done before any of them get legal
responsibility on OpenEEG device, circuit or development. Most of
them sent at least one reply usually kind. It will be listed those
which have two ore more replies concerning possible OpenEEG testing
or development or EEG parts . I `ll do no more contacts, until item 2
(next) has been solved

GET PARTS, BUILDING AND MAKE A BASIC ELECTRONIC TEST: as our main
device has not any one version tested by buildcheapeeg yet ( neither
the hardware ( see Sajith's message
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/buildcheapeeg/message/936 , nor the
last version software see Joerg's
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/buildcheapeeg/message/930) I decided to
buy the parts , and deliver them to a physics graduation students
here to build the kit and make basic testing ( I've to do it, before
to send the kits for abroad tests ) . I've no problem here with
electrodes , EEG helmets and safety issue (just experimental) , so I
just need testing the analogic part , and after the digital one ( in
fact just the first is important cause there are several industrial
digital analogic converters here) .

The major concerns related to interest of OpenEEG for Research
Institutions (miniaturization and analytical device accessories )
were disregarded by the group ( probably by not understanding the
questions embraced in the issue ) and we `ve lost two good researches
institutes because of that . ( see for example the folowing part of a
received message : "After I had responded to your initial mail I
realized that you had mentioned EEG electrodes in the skull. I wasn't
sure if you really ... were talking about EEG transmittors on the
head of a subjet. The latter may be a real advantage for long
recordings because it would allow for breaks (it is also possible
with caps but more cumbersome for patients). I am also interested in
small EEG transmittors that could be used in small animals like rats
and mice. There the advantages would be large.E/FONT>

my feeling is - if we get to work with big university - we would be
unstopable !!! and i think it's really close to happend !
