I haven't followed this conversation very closely. so I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for. but there is a shareware program called "brainwave generator". it generates a binaural beat based on a bunch of settings. you can customize it a lot, but it also comes with a bunch of presets.
its shareware, and you can use it indefinately without buying it. but afterthe trial period runs out, it makes you wait about a little at startup before it runs. also, if you don't register it, don't use it for meditating (or whatever) for too long. Im not sure when(i think 20 minutes or so), but at some point a voice comes over the sound saying to register... quite loudly. not something you want when meditating. scared the crap out of me when it first happened.
