Hey guys I'm new to the group and was hoping one of you would be willing togive me some advise on EEGs.

Recently I purchased an older EEG machine TECA 1A97A for a very reasonable price.

What I'd like to do is some how interface with the machine so as to do monitoring on my pc rather than the paper/pen output.

So my question is two fold.

1. Has anyone here done such a thing with an older machine.

2. If so what software would you recommend me using on my pc for monitoringand where can I get this software.

Thanks

Ter Jacobs

I agree w/ the guys who support the optocoupler. It's
worth the extra buck or so and the inconvenience of having
batt pwr on the other side. better safe than sorry. and can't we
just leave some jumpers on the board to let people who don't want it
to just leave it out of the circuit?

IrDA, however, is definitely overkill. Besides the expense,
it really restricts mobility having to keep the sensors in line
of sight of each other.

re pocketpc's. the older models have more than enough cpu power
to run an eeg, and are being blown out at low prices these days
to make room for the newer ARM-based 2002 units.
