Dear Joerg:

I will try to help you as best as I can. This was written over 15 years ago. Unfortunately I moved about 4 years ago and still have not found all mytoys. I have the Amiga system up in the attic. I keep everything, but finding things is the problem.

So let me guess.

Yes, I think that is correct.

> What does "sound resume" mean ?

The "Sound Resume:" statement is I believe, an "Amiga Basic Command" that will re-enable the sound output after you entered a command. At the end of the "duration_ms" it drops out and tests what to do next.

This is a "for next loop" just to slow down the sweep speed. The total program time should be about 20 to 30 minutes.

I hope this is of some help. With some effort I would be able to locate the Amiga manuals to find out for sure.

My current product "The Brain State Synchronizer" uses this code written in Small C and running on a Motorola 68HC11 board. At this point there are 12 different variations of the basic program. They all use 200 Hz as the center frequency, but the sweep range and duration is different.

I have had a look at your United States Patent 5,135,468
and have seen an algorithm in AMIGA BASIC.

For evaluating the effects of this new method I want to
port this on the PC platform in C-language.
However I have questions regarding some AMIGA BASIC
expressions:

Have I got the right parameters for sound ?
sound(freq_Hz,duration_ms,loudness,audio_channel)

What does
"sound resume" mean ?

What timing has DELAY1 ?
Is this about 1 ms ?

Regards,

Joerg

BTW:
The source-code of the port to C is in the file-attachment.
