Hi Moritz,

I am using 10 Panosonic 3700mAH NiMH cells, that gives
me 12V (converted to 5V by PT6302A) and 40+ watt hours.
I need this because the embedded PC burns 10 watts.
This is a 200Mhz multimedia geode (pentium MMX clone).
The LART running SA-1100 is same clock speed and only
burns 1-2 watts. The National LM3647 charger IC makes
charging NiMH very simple. Also see MAX713.
BTW, Looking at the Brainmaster FDA approval, it says
that Lexicor NRS-2D uses a "medical grade power supply"
and Brainmaster and Stoelting AT62 use rechargeable
batteries. I think that rechargeable batteries are a
good thing re FDA approval.
