Most of the eeg units discussed/planned/built here are battery powered.
The modularEEG and the RS232EEG use a 7..12 V unregulated DC source or a
regulated 5V DC source. This can be a battery or a wall socket transformer,
because the optically isolated amplifier stage gets its supply power
from a DCDC converter that isolates the power source a second time.
This construction is versatile, but not so very optimized for long battery life,
because the DCDC converter needs much current (about 100mA).
