Biofeedback is a MIRROR

Friends,

Here are a few thoughts of my own on why biofeedback is
useful and significant. I am no expert on anything, save
maybe trivial matters like mobile computing. But I come
from the school of 'hard knocks' and have battled for
many years with some of the 'afflications' that all of
these MDs, psychologiest, and biofeedback people treat.
I have also participated in literally thousands of some
group oriented therapy sessions.

A medical doctor or scientist believes the body is a
machine. A psychologiest believes in mind over matter,
that psyche controls all, and as long as psyche is well
then all will be well. Both of these thing have wisdom
in them, but it's only partial wisdom. What have found
is that the body and mind have miraculous healing power
within them, but they live with blinders on. As they
say 'the truth will set you free' but the path to
truth is the challenge. I have literally transformed
my entire life perspective through simple acts of
looking in the MIRROR. That particular mirror was a
mirror of behavioral and preconceived notions that
essentially were false beliefs. Call it a mirror of
psyche, but it was a path of removing negative self
talk and replacing it with positive. The power of
that transition is beyond words. Jim spoke of the
telescope, well my telecope is a MIRROR, and this is
the most powerful telescope there is. They body,
mind, and soul have tremendous capacity for NATURAL
healing as long as they can "see clearly".

So this is precisely why I like biofeeback, it's a
MIRROR of my body. One cannot fix something if one
does not see that it's broken. The body and brain
seems to have a way of miraculously sorting things
out when it's in front of a mirror. The western
world is trapped in a "fixing" mentality, and this
is crippling a lot of people, psychically and
mentally and spiritually. Most of what we need is
compassion for self and self-understanding, there
we can find paths to wellness. The EEG is only a
tool, the protocol is only a tool, it is one small
component in a very large ocean of complexity. It
seems to be better than the 'quick fixes' that I
see around. So keep in mind that the most powerful
'protocol' there is involved self-examination.
And this is what biofeedback is, it's a body and
mind in the mirror, once it "sees clearly" there
seems to be natural sorting. Just my opinion.

Namaste,
Doug
