Jim,

It appears that libXv is for XVideo hardware video acceleration.
Are you using a graphics card with video acceleration?

I got BWView to compile and run on my embedded system by removing
the link to XV from the mk file. Looks very cool!

SDL can be configured to run with or without XVideo acceleration.
It will autodetect XVideo ONLY in XFree86 4.x or later.

I assume that when I built SDL from source, the automake was
smart enough to know that I have no video acceleration.

I think that the -lXV in the mk file should not be default.
Perhaps there is a way to have the build script detect for
video acceleration automatically?

This is pretty cool, I have your BWview running on a designer
women's purse with TFT LCD in its side. There is enough room
in the purse for the EEG :) Will post a picture later.
