Toba ? It is in principle do-able, but it would also take a bit of
work and testing. I think to be free of licencing problems we'd need
to use the standard Java libraries out of GCJ or Classpath, and maybe
some other bits. We'd also be tied to the less-friendly native
interface that Toba has, which is C-based. It is nothing like as nice
as the GCJ one, where you can pretty well access the Java stuff from
C++ just like it was C++.

Really if I was going to put more time into this, I'd prefer to put it
into GCJ, because at least that way the effort is shared with others
and it helps another ongoing project improve.

For now, though, I'm giving it a rest.
