Ok, maybe I should be more specific. :-)
In Europe you can get BC547 and BC557 just about anywhere, because
BC??? is a european designator.
In the US, I believe it is more common with transistors named 2N????,
and figured those types are easier to get.
Anyways, this might be a moot point, because we will ask a Bulgarian
company (www.olimex.com) to do the manufacture for us. Depends on
what they say about the costs. I'll be mailing them soon (next week)
and ask for a quote.
Just a little question for the group: how many would be interested in
a pre-assembled ModularEEG? At first, just the naked PCB. Eventually,
in a box, *if* the costs are reasonable. I'm not taking orders or
anything, just asking so Olimex can get an estimate of how many units
they can expect to make.
