hi vlad
maybe i can answer few of your question :
1.galvanic isolation - we are making the device with infra red comm
so it will be perfectly isolated .
2.about fda- it doesn't yet have fda .
now one of are main design issues are design it for safety ,
and preferably , inheret safety , that doesn't needed to be tested
for each device (for example by using infra red - the device is
inherently isolated from the computer , now were trying to find
a design that the input stage will be inherently safe without
testing or minimal testing -if you know some safety expert willing
to help , please connect us ) .
after all this safety issues will be finished , we intend to go
for fcc. yet is unknown how we do it , but
1. we will and are trying wo look for somebody who passed something
throught fcc.
2. as i understand from fcc doing the tests doesn't cost money
(but maybe i'm wrong - i didn't go into it very deep yet )
but if it will cost money we will find a way to solve the problem
(some ideas - 1.connecting to a big company on some base -
they profit less tax , we profut help .
2.making ourselfs a non profit organization and raising money .
3.trying to convince fcc/goverment to do it for free on
non profit basis
)
but i think i should look deeper into it , starting from now
because all the proces will take some time.
and by the way some devices on the market haven't got fcc.
it's not our prefered way but if there will be no other way
and we will think that the design is 100% safe - we have this
option to . but this is not so good option maybe.
and who is going to apply - we can declare a non porift status.
or find another way . we need to figure this our .
any info you can share with us would be helpfull .
3. selling and marketing the device - before the group started i
had checked with some small electronic (kits) comapnies .
they would manufcature on small scale and terst and market .
without huge commision.
if we have bigger scale , i think there will be no problem
finding a company who would like to earn money .
or working with the small scale companies , and they will
find solutions.
