hi all,
Cannot follow (my american is not that good)
Does this mean no one may practice biofeedback ?
If so, whats so good about it ?
It would be better to make it possible for everyone to
follow courses in BFB, as wel to becom educated in bfb
to become a practionar. without having a master degree first.
What going on with Linda Kirk ? anyone knows, i guess
she's against the idea that biofeedback is accessable for
everyone.
Most people in america can not afford BFB/NFB teatment.
If it is not legal to own bfb/nfb then they must find a practionar
and if they cannot afford it they must take drugs ???
If this is so, should whe from Build Cheap EEG realy do so.
I mean, the practionars will be able to buy RS232 for a price
lower than the cost for one consult !!!!!
So people who need BFB (in usa) cannot have a machine.
Or perhaps under guidance of a health professional.
I think whe could build a low-cost machine, when i have Joergs
prototype i will be spending a lot of time in software writting.
I would like software to be free for everyone.
But i think it is not wise to do so. In fact.
The machine with "medical approvement" should not be sold
"cheap". Also software cannot be free (neurogames/dataaq.)
This machine should be called EEG.
For others the machine should be for education purpose only.
In the desig there must be a different so as to make sure that
software cannot run on both machines. Free software is for
the cheap machine, where as software for the prof.machine
must be free.
Build Cheap EEG must ask why building a low cost machine.
To make it possible for every one to have a machine ?
Don't forget the work being done for free.
ps. i am not saying that a consult would not be effective, but
every one especially in the USA must be free to choose and to
buy such a machine.

Subject: [biofbp] Biofeedback Laws
The news is good:
In New York, The Biofeedback and Behavioral Health Practitioners Guild was
successful in removing language from the Psychologists Scope of Practice
Bill (A7627) that would effectively make it illegal for others to practice
biofeedback. This bill is scheduled for a vote soon. The removal of
biofeedback should not effect the outcome.
In Texas, we also supported Lynda Kirk's Bill which passed the
Legislature.
