Dear Laura:

This is a test. I am going to attach a file. Let's see if it works. It i=
s a Word document called Brain001.doc.

Subject: [buildcheapeeg] How to get the current design

Jim,

Well, I can help you to get the current design, at least.

Hardware:
1) go to http://sourceforge.net/projects/openeeg/
2) click the "Download" link in the Latest File Releases section
3) read the files with the free EAGLE software from=20
http://www.cadsoft.de

Software:
1) go to http://www.jhansmann.de/eeg/eeg.html to get the firmware
(right now, I am getting an "access forbidden" error here,
but it used to work...)
2) go to http://www.realization.org/page/topics/electric_guru.htm
to get the host-side software (no source code, though)

Do you have the source code for the PC program that goes with your=20
HC11 EEG? I would be very interested to see that. If you will tell me=20
where your website is I will help you figure out how to=20
post the data. I for one don't really care what format the circuits=20
are in, as long as I can read them with free software. The=20
Brainmaster circuits I have are all done in ASCII.

The first thing that strikes me about the current design is that it=20
seems to have a very high part count in contrast to Brainmaster=20
design. I personally would be quite intimidated to try and put this=20
together, especially without a custom PCB.

Laura
