Sorry, I must have misunderstood you. If you scan a sketch, I can
turn it into a CAD-schematic and put it in the files-section of the
group.

The program used by Joerg (Eagle) is free, and can be downloaded
here: http://www.cadsoft.de/ I have only used it for viewing Joerg's
schematics, as I'm a Protel 99 user. First impression is that it
could be more intuitive.

Hmm, since we live on separate sides of the Atlantic, shipping and
the time it takes could easily cost a few hundred bucks...
Maybe you could just sell me the source code and a block diagram of
the hardware, for personal use only. I understand completely if you
say no - like you said, a lot of effort has gone into it ...
