Well, I guess you are right. :o) It was just a thought anyway. 100+
parts to solder is probably frightening enough. (Though there is
nothing to fear: there is LOTS of room for breaking and fixing things
when you assemble a board. We're not into calligraphy or tightrope-
walking here. :-)
As for the difference in cost: There are more than 90 resistors in
the design ... save $0.045 (15% off) on each => $4 saved total. =>
$14 saved if we add that to the previous calculation. But, as you
said: It is better that people can build it themselves rather than
having someone do it for them for $100.
BTW: In case anyone wonders - it *is* possible to cram the whole
thing (minus the DC/DC-converter - batteries are safer I think) onto
half a euro-board (= 100x80 mm).
