Hi Andreas !

I don't think we should use SMD parts. Most people don't even want
to etch their boards themselves :)
It'll be frightening for beginners to be confronted with SMD parts.
The resistors aren't expensive so the cost advantage is small.
For mass-production of our devices SMD parts are preferrable, of course,
because
they can be easy placed by machines.
