I might build some for the group members. But from my point of view the
problem is
liability for manufacturers. If I build it and sell it, I'm responsible if
something goes wrong.
There's a law in Germany that says even if you only try to sell medical
devices
not complying to some difficult norm you can be punished for it. It's some
kind of
tactic to keep prices high and to make it difficult for newcomers, I think.
On the one hand norms are nice, but on the other hand they have this effect.
Also this is different in every country so we would have to do a lot of
research
about the laws or we have to find an expert on this topic who's willing to
help us.
That's why I think kits are much preferrable. The person who assembles the
kit is
responsible (AFAIK).

Joerg did some research on this and I think it was about 200$ for
assembling plus parts.
But it's possible.
