Hi,
here is the next try.
The upper channel is modified, the lower
shows the old (not working) design.
User protection against amplifier worst case failure is not
possible using current limiting resistors due to relatively
high current noise of the INA114. (BTW: does some instamp
like the INA114 exist that has the properties of the LT1012 ?)
Perhaps an active protection circuit is possible. However
at the moment I have no good idea how to realize one without
producing additional noise (perhaps optocouplers for current sensing ?
and a reed relais to switch the input off in case of failure ?)
