I have posted many megga bytes of "real EEG data" files on my web page for someone to play with. The data was transmitted to the PC at 9600 Baud and spooled to the hard drive. Log001.dat is a test file using a sine wave generator to drive the EEG input stage. You can down load "slink12r.exe" to look at the data. This DOS program was written in C++ and will run out of the DOS window in Win98. I am not a programmer so it took me over a year and I had to hire 4 different consultants to write this program. It is not pretty and fancy, but very functional for my requirements. I used it to qualify the brain wave frequencies during my research for my Brain State Synchronizer product.

I know that Doug and some of you software guys could write this in a few hours. So here is some EEG input data for you to start with.

hi
lastly , many people have talked about software design .
it's very encouraging .
somebody , i think it was joel errikson , mentiones that he needs
h.w. to start coding .
there's a simple way to overcome this problem - if there would be
some h.w. simulator posted here , then work could be started without
a machine .
i don't know excatly what this would take , but my feeling is that
it's not a big project , actually even pretty small maybe . so if
somebody would like to work on this , it would great benefit the
software side .

second issue that could be started without hardware and might be
quite intersting , would be to talk with many nfb professionals , and
maybe researchersh in university , and ask them what all the things
they would like to see in such a device , wiht many details as
possible , even make mockups of gui's etc ...
only after such data would be gathered and organized , we would have
a way to see what , and how needs to be done for a truly open source
software .
also in the same way , somebody should try to determine what and
where would be the technical challenges ( for example , one problem
is display speed - as rob , the designer of electric-guru said ) .
so these issues needs to be determined , and organized in an orderly
fashion .

e.g. a guy called waldemar that was on the group made some work on
the architecture of such a design . i don't know realy where it is ,
but "if you seek , you shall find " :)
if not i'll try to help .

sincerly
