OK I have very little understanding of how the current EEG machines
communicate with computer. But by some deductive reasoning my guess is that
the RS232 varieties send a series of bytes to the computer.
OK So one of the interfaces needed is a STANDARD format for this stream as
is passes out of stage 1 (input/hardware interface) and into Stage 2
(processing/filtering/etc).
So for those in the know (Rob?) what can you suggest would be the right way
to go?
Remember this will have to cover ALL EEG (and maybe ECG) hardware that we
may connect up to the machine.
Also this stream may be redirected as a RAW data dump by the program and at
a later data feed back in for processing.
OK it’s 1:30AM I hope that makes sense. :-)
