No, I'm from Birmingham in the UK. I normally work on and off as a
freelance developer (web-site back ends, Perl, Java applets), but I've
reduced my paid work down to almost nothing now so that I can spend
more time doing the things I'm really interested in. I live pretty
cheap, so this isn't really as crazy as it sounds.
