I agree. It would make the software better. And it will be in a
usable state sooner.
It would be nice to start low-volume production eventually. I mean,
there are well over a hundred parts to solder, regardless of what
solution (mine or Joergs) you choose. Also, if it doesn't work right
away you are forced to do your own debugging to find the problem or
you have wasted $200. I'm sure some people are intimidated by that.
However, I'm not sure who would want to set it up, taking orders and
so on. (Not me.)
