Ok, it is time to come out of my lurker's closet.
<pop!>
Hi! :)
I have been following conversations with fascination for some time, and have
bitten my tongue bloody with the times I wanted to jump into the dialogue, but
just could not because I was not done with a some other things that were
consuming my attention. Well, that time is now changing and I am looking
forward to contributing to the group effort here. As with many others in this
group, I have a vested interest in EEG use and analysis. My use of the
equipment is as varied as everyone elses, but it is my hope that we will be
able to consolidate our effort inasmuch to create a common, or base, data
acquisition and processing library, and then spin projects off of it for our
own particular needs.
To get an idea of my interest in this area, please visit
http://www.psychosensory.com. I've been meaning to put this site together for
some time, and just finished it up this weekend. Any thoughts or comments,
btw, are very welcome! Here are some "quick links" into the site:
A description of the project that has engaged me:

A very brief synopsis of my own background and interest:

And some *very* preliminary designs I have formulated for a biofeedback
library:

I am hoping that by being in dialogue, that we can come to a design that will
incorporate all our needs, and be able to hammer out some code to test the
infrastructure of that design.
I have been playing around with C++ code under Linux -- pulling data from the
EEG device I am using (ProComp+), working with some open source libraries,
etc., but have not created anything coherently solid yet. I will pull it all
together, though, and make the result available for discussion. (Oh, and go
Jim P.! What incredible progress you have made!)
But before I become too wedded to a particular course, I wanted to join the
efforts here and see what we can come up with together.
With that said, I look forward to working with everyone here. It's great to
meet each and every one of you!
Dave.
