I was thinking in terms of EEG output being streamed through a network, not
necessarily the other way around. But it is an interesting idea since both
input and output would be applicable by using the ethernet interface. As far
as the software is concerned, the input interface is going to need an abstract
level far enough removed from the actual input mechanism (serial, ethernet,
USB, whatever) that various methods can be accomodated.
