Does this design require a soundcard with a S/PDIF optical input,
then? If that's what we're working with, then surely there is no
worry about high-pass filtering on the soundcard ? The only
manipulation of digital audio input data I've heard about is that some
cards always resample everything to 48kHz. Perhaps you know more
about this, though.
