Hi,

I don't think raising kundalini is that simple.
The breathings with the nostrils can be done safetly.
According an older teacher i had to use this breating,
but not with the retention of breath, and i needed not to
count. important detail: only slow exhalation. In this way
there is no problem of any kind.

Full-yogi-breathing (deep breathings) or parts of it like
low, middel or high are safe to do. some other forms are
also safe.

Intensive excercise is best done under a teacher, but
yes, complex pranayama could be dangerous, not only
because of kundalini, but if nadi's are not clean yet, there
could be adverse results, and also one could create illness
by incorrect pranayama.

However, the exercise with the altering nostrills is safe and
all eastern yogi's adivise this exercise. Again, not extreem
or with special postures etc..but simpel exercise.
p.s., pranayama can take you in to trance state, but that
is for advanced studentsa only.

Regards.
Frans

I agree with that. In fact, I once did actually
put a warning (in red) at the top of an article
on my website that goes into unusually explicit
detail about raising Kundalini.
