My belief is that we SHOULD NOT target any particular Operating system!
WHEN the operating system changes your left with code that may not work on
the updated system.
It's better to keep the code generic as possible (Graphics MAY be the one
exception to this).
This way like Jim's code it can be cross compiled so that everyone
interested can add there particular expertise and improve it. :-)
