Jim M. I have never stated that I'm an expert on EEG or have seen REAL-time
EEG data.

Of the 3 statements above 1 & 3 are possible everyone "could" reach a
certain state (eg Alpha or something else)
While 2 isn't completely possible at all. The brain is a VERY complex
"device" and it will NEVER be possible for 2 brains to fire neurons at
exactly the same time. BUT it MAYBE possible with Shakti to get some
synchronisation and we'll never know if nonne ever tries.
Case in point
Several years ago 9600 baud modems were IMPOSSIBLE (according to the
experts) until a couple of (I think engineering students) built one. :-)

We do NEED an open source platform for ANYONE to build on and expand.
Otherwise the hardware being developed will only be used by hackers running
there own software

I'm only working on a platform until I get some hardware I won't know what
is POSSIBLE. :-)
I don't intend to write any filters or display programs!
There are authors on here with MUCH more knowledge in these fields then I
have so why not have a platform that these experts can contribute to, so
those of us less knowledgeable can use to experiment with.

That is what I like to see a group of people working together for a common
goal!

I didn't propose Dave did! I was just making suggestions on possibilities!

Sorry! Have you ever seen 2 people in Alpha at the same time?
That is what I was referring too!!!
Also isn't the Shakti system attempting to redirect the brain into new or
old patterns.
You are right it will never be synchronisation!! Just directed!

Sounds great! Why haven't you brought it up before I'd love to look at it.
Again sorry if you have and I missed it!

At least one person has asked for it and it has been mentioned elsewhere as
something people would like to try.
If it doesn't work well it doesn't work

I'd love to look at it!
Could you send me the source so I can get into it???

Aren't we (As a group) past the SIMPLE frame work stage yet?
You've produced a simple program, ROB produced a program, the other Jim is
producing a fine bit of software.
BUT they are all separate programs and without a lot of coding it is
imposable to combine parts of each program to form a program that a
particular user may want.

That is where I'm coming from!

The platform I'm proposing will do "ABSOLUTELY nothing".........by it's
self........
It will simply be a platform for authors to place there code into so that
they can be easily shared and reused by anyone interested.
So we don't all have to re-invent the wheel every time. :-(

Any comments I make about what the platform will POSSIBLE be capable of is
up to code authors and how they add to and reuse code already written for
it.
